Backup2004 Pro is organized around a Backup set. A backup
set contains the definition of the backup.It includes :which
data to backup; where to backup and how to backup.
Backup2004 Pro, lets
you define a standard profile for easy reuse it when you define
a new backup set. Backing up and restoring will be very easy to
do.
Backup2004 Pro manages
a catalog database where you can find the detail of each backup
job. You will be able to consult, or search through, all backup
jobs without opening individual backup files. Optionally, Backup2001
Pro can be set to ignore the catalog For each backup job.

to generate a log file After a backup job the log file can be sent
to a specified Email address using SMTP or MAPI protocol Any backup
file can be viewed and restored even if the backup set does not
exist.
Backup2004 Pro is able
to upload and download the backup job from an Ftp server.
Backup2004 Pro comes
with its own job scheduler, but you can also, use the Windows' task
scheduler. Restoring is as easy as pushing a button, but you can
use sophisticated restoring options, including restoring a single
file.

NT or Windows 2000 or XP you will appreciate the NT Service module
include with Backup2004 Pro, A control panel applet is also
included in the Backup2001 Pro package. This module displays the
status of each job done by Backup2001 Pro. |
